THE ASSOCIATION OF PhD STUDENTS AND YOUNG DOCTORS OF THE INSTITUT CURIE

The ADIC (Association des Doctorants et Jeunes Docteurs de l’Institut Curie) is formed of the M2 trainees, PhD students and post docs of the Institut Curie. Established in 1997, the ADIC is a non-political association that unites and represents the young researchers of the Institut Curie. It aims to strengthen the role of students and post docs at the Institut Curie research program, develop PhD training and provide career guidance.

The mandate of the ADIC is achieved in four different ways:

Participation in the Curie Institute’s Research Program

The ADIC actively participates in the research program of the Institut Curie. The most notable contribution is the congress "Young Researchers in Life Sciences" (YRLS), co-organized by the ADIC that allows young researchers to present their work either in the form of a poster or talk.

Career Guidance and Development

The ADIC organizes several meetings giving students and post docs the opportunity to talk to scientists already working in different professions, which might help to decide on a career path.

Improving the status of PhD students

The ADIC is a member of the Confédération des Jeunes Chercheurs (CJC) - an association representing students and young post docs nation wide.

 Organization of Social Events

The ADIC organizes a social event throughout the whole year, which will be announced on our homepage.
